2023 - The first annual Northeast Washington Mushroom Festival
The Northeast Washington Mushroom Festival on May 27th was a great success! I received so much great feedback from the attendees and community. There was about 50 people participating in the mushroom foray contest and roughly 300 people throughout the day. Several people participated in the costume and art contests and the raffle had exciting items that people were excited to win such as giant jars of dried morel mushrooms. It was so great to see so many people in our community come out and Rosemary Gladstar, herbalist and author, really enjoyed the festival as well and mentioned it in her Mushroom 101 class at the Thrivalist Fair on 5/29/23.
