The Intenders of the Highest Good is a simple spiritual practice and community movement centered on speaking your intentions aloud in a supportive group, affirming the Highest Good for all, and cultivating gratitude and awareness. Founded by Tony Burroughs, it has grown into a global network of circles and teachings that empower people to create their lives with clarity, kindness, and conscious intention.

The Intenders of the Highest Good is a spiritual and community-based movement founded to help people consciously create their lives using intention, gratitude, and alignment with the Highest Good.
The core idea is simple:
When we speak our intentions aloud among supportive, like-minded people—and hold them in positivity rather than doubt—they manifest more clearly and more quickly.
This movement encourages individuals to become more aware of their thoughts, words, and creative power, while fostering a sense of community, connection, and co-creation.

The Basic Intenders Circle Process
- Begin with a shared potluck meal and blessing for the food.
- Open the Intenders Circle with a 10 minute guided group meditation.
- Take time to write out what you are grateful for and your intentions.
- Each person takes turns sharing their gratitudes and intentions. Others respond with "and so it is" for an energetic affirmation of support.
- Close the circle with a toning and group "Om" chant.
The Intenders were co-founded in the 1990s by Tony Burroughs, along with Mark Berry and Lee Ching, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. According to Tony, the original small group began with friends meeting regularly to state their intentions for the upcoming days and weeks. Over time, the process evolved into a simple, accessible method that anyone can practice.
