2021 Sasquatch Family Reunion
Kettle Falls Campground in Kettle Falls, WA
May 27th - 31st
The Sasquatch Family Reunion, formally known as the Psychic Sasquatch Spiritual Retreat, has gone through many transitions in 2020 and 2021 as the world and all of us have experienced many changes as well.
Due to the pandemic and mandated restrictions from the Washington state governor, our venue changed at the very last moment in 2020 so we could safely gather and meet all requirements. The Lake Roosevelt Recreation Area and campgrounds turned out to be the perfect gathering area for us, providing nature, water, restrooms, and all our needs close by.
Because of tightening restrictions and the fact that some have reported this gathering to the health department, I am publicly “canceling” this event and retreat, however, those of you receiving this message are invited to join us and gather privately for four nights and 5 days in Kettle Falls, WA. It is important that we not publicly announce this gathering as a retreat or large group activity and refer to it as a campout with family. We will also be marrying Marlene and Kenneth from Montana on Sunday so it is likewise a wedding and birthday celebration for some.
CHANGES
The most recently announced venue for the Psychic Sasquatch Retreat in Addy on private land fell through for a higher purpose. This is all being orchestrated by the Sasquatch Elders to ensure we are able to gather and share and celebrate with no unwanted attention or repercussions. So while this is a very big change, it is moving us in the direction that it needs to go where spirit and community is much more aligned and integrated. This is going to be so much fun and such a sacred and intimate gathering!
LOCATION
We will be gathering at the Kettle Falls Campground in the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area in Kettle Falls, WA on Thursday September 3rd through Monday morning, Sept 7th. This park has large camping areas available, day use areas, hiking trails and working restroom facilities with flushing toilets and running water unlike most campgrounds in the state. They also have cell service and wifi available although the campsites do not have water or electricity. The campsites are by reservation only and currently, we have fifteen spaces reserved for our group, eight are ones that I made and seven other guests have made independently and there are still some sites left if you’d like to reserve one or more at recreation.gov for $18 a night (Kettle Falls Campground). The website only allows four reservation sites per person. The campsites allow for ten people and two vehicles per site so some vehicles may need to be parked closer to the entry after unpacking.
Besides the campground where we will be headquartered, there are several places throughout the park where we can gather more privately as well, either by driving or walking (driving/shuttling recommended). The area is large and beautiful and along the Columbia River. Lots of pavilions, picnic benches, hiking trails, swimming spots and private coves are available for use.
CAMPSITES
At the time of writing, I have reserved eight campsites: 03, 32, 44, 46, 56, 70, 72, and 73. Other people in our group have reserved campsites 01, 22, 51, 52, 54, 55, and 59. Each site only allows 2 vehicles to remain parked there and each site can hold up to 10 people officially. So, at this time, we can fit 150 people within these sites, but the more space available to spread out, the better.
Site # 70, 72, and 73 will be the Hub where you can find most activity and food for sharing (although we can’t “serve” food, we will have kind of a potluck style between campsites, so feel free to contribute some of your yummies for the meals too). This location is also right by the restrooms and trash receptacles. This camping area is large but it is still a short walking distance to visit with others in the campground.
Quiet hours are from 10pm until 6am, so please respect the campsite rules for that area. There are many other places very close by in the park that we can still utilize later if desired so we can whoop and drum and dance.
PRESENTERS/WORKSHOPS
We still anticipate all of our presenters that were previously announced to attend such as Bill Homann with the Skull of Love, Barbara Jean Lindsay, Forrest Green, Dawn Nicholson, Garrett Duncan, The Chinos, Adam Shield of the Feather, A’lana Marmel, Jessica Martin, and more expected to attend as well. I will be re-working a schedule of times and places for workshops, but the atmosphere of this gathering is now much more laid back and informal. We will have limited electricity so we encourage the workshops to be more interactive and using printed materials rather than technological enforcements. We do have a laptop, projector, white screen, and white board to use, however, the electronics would be dependant on a generator (noisy).
I will most likely not announce a schedule of presentations ahead of time but rather have printouts available at the campground near campsite 70.
FOOD
The Health Dept. is most concerned about food matters so we will still be having meals although not “serving” them. We will have campsites 70, 72, and 73 set up as the primary food making stations and will have meals as a potluck/buffet style between these joining sites. All food donations are welcome and accepted as well as camp stoves (propane) or other non-open flame cooking devices (remember electric is only via generator). Currently there is a fire ban, so we cannot use the open flame grills at the campsites but camp stoves are fine. Also, my research has shown me that portable fire pits with a cage covering the flames is acceptable, so you are welcome to bring yours if you have one for gathering around a fire.
We will have vegetarian options available, but we have integrated more protein into the menu this year. Some of the meals we are planning is BBQ, spaghetti or other pasta, rice and beans, cold cuts and sandwiches, breakfast meals and as many fresh fruits and veggies as possible as well as snacking items. We encourage guests to bring plenty of their own favorite foods, snacks and drinks and gladly accept donations for the potlucks. Coffee makers may not be available so please bring your favorite method or bear with our instant or cowboy coffee. J
VENDING
It is best for vendors to not create a large visible booth on the campground unless you do so at one of the other day use areas we may use during the day. Vendors are still welcome to set up at a table or under a canopy or be more discreet too if you’d like. We can create a list of people with products or services they are offering and we can also share this information verbally in our group circles. Offering your products or services at your campsite is best so be sure to let us know your site number. Sasquatch items like shirts, books and novelties will be available somewhere near site 70-73 across from the restrooms.
WHAT TO BRING
It’s best to be as self-sustaining as possible, so whatever camping gear and supplies you can bring would be helpful. A few must-haves as a reminder are flashlights, batteries, blankets, your own plate, bowl, cup, and utensils (we have about 25 extra for anyone that doesn’t have their own), camp stove (if doing your own cooking), materials for workshops like notebook and pen, and we gladly welcome and encourage anything that makes you unique… costumes and weirdness included!
HOW TO CONNECT
I have created a private group on facebook that is by invite only called “Sasquatch Family Reunion – Secret Gathering” where I will be communicating all of the details as they unfold. It is also a great place for us all to communicate with each other to find out how we can help one another with rides or camping supplies since so many have offered to lend their extra gear or to open space in their RV/bus or other shelter. This is a link to the group – I will be adding everyone that I am connected with on facebook already and please contact me to add you if we aren’t already friends.
You can call or text me at (870)421-7025 or email sasquatchgoddess@hotmail.comor on facebook Messenger to Kelly RainbowButterfly. Additionally, Betty Klein is helping coordinate this and can answer some questions on facebook messenger.
ALTERNATIVES
For those that are unable to camp at this site, we have space in our home in Colville and there is room also for private camping on the beautiful sacred spaces of loving friends and family in Newman Lake, Addy, and Colville and there are also motels available in Colville and Kettle Falls which is much closer than Chewelah. This campground is about 35 miles north of downtown Chewelah. The closest motel to this campground is The Grandview Inn Motel and RV Park and the Kettle Falls Inn, both in Kettle Falls. There is a wonderful natural market in Kettle Falls called Meyers Falls Market that I recommend for your food, sanitation, and herbal medicinal needs. There is also a Walmart in Colville and this town would have stores and services for all of your needs.
This latest decision to move this reunion to a campground is fool-proof UNLESS the governor shuts down campgrounds again. We aren’t anticipating that, but just in case, I have thought of a back-up plan so we can still meet and gather. In the event that the Kettle Falls Campground should be forced to close, we would meet in Colville at the home I share with my partner Christian and we live a short distance from a large wooded park (Yep Kanum) and also a fish hatchery (Walnut St.) and can use those spaces, plus the Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge, a vast area that is always open to the public (but no facilities other than camp sites that are first-come first-serve). If anything should change, please reach out to me via text/call, email, or messenger.
I will be announcing updates only privately from here on out (email, messenger and the private fb group), and please remember that although I will be “canceling” this event publicly, we will be gathering and staying within all of the legal guidelines and recommendations to remain compliant and safe for all our guests.
Thank you for your understanding and riding this wave with us. We have a lot of community support helping with this, especially the help of our Sasquatch Elders that continue to guide us towards the path that is for the highest good of us all. I love you all and am so proud that our collective intentions and guided focus to see this through will allow this to happen no matter who tells we shouldn’t.
See you all soon!

During the event, all guests have access to the whole campus (unless otherwise marked). Please be respectful of all beings. All guests must assume responsibility for themselves and their property and will be asked to sign a waiver of liability at entry.
RIDESHARES
Most of our guests travel from afar to attend this gathering, many drive from out of state and many fly from other states or countries. Because of limited parking and travelling costs, we encourage our guests to share rides from their locations or airports if possible. At this time, we have a facebook group called "Sasquatch Family Social and Conference Rideshare" where guests can share, interact, and make travel or rideshare arrangements for the event. There is a pinned post at the top of the group which is the primary rideshare thread, so please review it to see if someone is offering rides from where you need or if you have space to give a ride to or from the airport. The link to access and join this group is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1568093540159167/
TRAVEL AND LODGING
For anyone planning a trip from afar, Spokane International Airport (GEG) is the closest to Chewelah. Chewelah is about 60 miles from the airport (almost 90 minutes with traffic). There is a bus service called Gold Line that can transport you from the airport to the city of Chewelah, but the only stop in town is at the Safeway gas station which is 9 miles from the Chewelah Peak Learning Center up Flowery Trail Rd (Main St.) and bus schedule times are limited. Gold Line’s bus fares are currently $22 from the airport to Chewelah. You can learn more about Gold Line here http://www.gold-line.us/schedule.htm
Outside of staying at the Chewelah Peak Learning Center during the retreat, there are also several places to stay throughout the area. Here is a list of some of the closest ones if you are looking to extend your trip or a more private place to stay.
